Call Senator Susan Collins
Tell her to PLEDGE TO VOTE NO
on any reconciliation bill that includes
Medicare or Medicaid.

People didn’t vote to destroy Medicare or Medicaid and neither should Susan Collins.
Medicare Works for Maine
* Medicare insured 306,420 of Maine’s residents in 2015—23% of the state’s residents.
*Medicare ensures that Maine residents can receive necessary—and often lifesaving—medical care that many would otherwise not be able to afford.
*232,645 of Maine’s Medicare beneficiaries were 65 or older in 2013—80% of beneficiaries.
*Medicare provided $2.3 billion in benefits to Maine residents in 2009—20.4% of all healthcare spending in the state.
Medicaid Works for Maine
*Medicaid insures 265,000 low-income seniors, children, pregnant women, adults, and people with disabilities in our state—one in every five Mainers.
*6 in 10 Maine babies, 4 in 10 Maine children, and 2 in 3 Maine nursing home residents receive support from Medicaid every year.
*Medicaid provides a healthy start for babies, preventative care for children and adults, and assistance for seniors and people with disabilities to help them live as independently as possible.
