Androscoggin County Democratic Commitee

Maine Dems Lead Local Conference

The Maine Democratic Party is very excited to announce our Maine Dems Lead Local Conference on June 10th, 2017! This conference will give local Democratic leaders the training, education, and network they need to be successful in 2017 and beyond.

Attendees will indicate which focus most interests them: elected municipal official – school board, elected municipal official – other (city/town government), municipal candidate, or Municipal/County Democratic Committee leader / local activist.

The Municipal Elected Official – School Board Focus

School board members will learn about effective local education policies that work toward guaranteeing an equitable, universal, quality public education system in Maine.

The Municipal Elected Official – City/Town Government Focus

While these candidates generally run without a party affiliation, those who choose this track will learn about progressive policy solutions to municipal-level issues.

The Municipal Candidate Focus
Current and future candidates for local office will learn how to run effective grassroots campaigns and how to win. These are the Democratic leaders of the future. Building the bench now helps us run stronger candidates in 2017 and beyond!

The Municipal & County Committee/Local Activist Leadership Focus

Municipal and County Democratic Committee leaders and local activists will learn key community organizing tactics, effective leadership skills, and receive training on how to employ each strategically.
